This time I enter the Becon and the entire stage is full of amps ,monitors, mike stands and all the gear that a big band could use.I go over to the sound guy and ask what gives and tells me me they're are plenty of players here and the show should be be a good one.First the announcer omes out and says here's Jack and Jorma and they play just one song and then start to introduce all the other players one by one.1st up was charlie Musselwhite on harp then there was a progression of guys and a women who I didn't know. G.E. Smith again was rip roaring hot as were Barry and his mini stringed instuments.I'm a terrible critic so try to find someone else to compare the show w/ and I'm sure you'll be one happy camper. They ran the gamit of the old blues favs and some other tunes w/ all members taking theie turn. If your into to Tuna Sat night tix are still available and well worth the night out and not a very expensive at that. It's hard to compare to the last years' bithday show which was not to say mellow but just different and the Weir factor singing Paint My MASTERPIECE WAS WELL DONE.a DUDE WHOSE 70 CAN STILL RIP IT AS IF HE WAS 20 SOMETHING AND I SWAR IS GETTING BETTER W/ AGE (THAT OLD WINE GAG)......

I wish I could have made it to last night or tonight's show. A lot of my favorite active musicians there. How were Kimock and Larry and Theresa. G.E. Smith rocks. I always liked him.

the one and only bummer of the night was that I thought David Bromberg was part of the line up.Well he wasn't and wa supposed to be there tonight and he adds his own special fingerpicken down home style and they have been friends for many many years. I do remember Bromberg opened for Tuna at the old Cpital Theater in Passic N.J. and then after Tunas' set they invited Bromberg to come back out to jam on a smokin hot Statesboro Blues among other old favs that both were equally adept at playing so proficently.
